"Da Matteo", historical family-managed venue that offers typical dishes of the Langhe Hills

The restaurant "Da Matteo" placed in the central area of Narzole, is one of the historical venues of the town.

A family- managed restaurant that boasts a ten-year experience, that has been capable of maintaining intact the bond with tradition and the region, proposing typical dishes of the Langhe Hills.

The venue welcomes its guests in a friendly atmosphere, where it is easy to feel at ease. The simple and discrete furniture is the perfect frame to a simple but unique kitchen that proposes the best ancient recipes, prepared always with fresh and genuine ingredients.

The restaurant offers delicious local dishes, among which particularly tasting are the starters, available every day of the week, the first courses (from risotto to home-made pasta, stretched with a rolling pin).

Moreover, the venue offers a wide range of Piedmont’s Fassone meat specialities.

The cooking is completely homely: everything is cooked respecting the tradition and the region’s products.

Some restaurant’s specialities

• Hot appetizers of the Langhe, cold appetizers “alla Piemontese”
• Among the first courses we can list the risotto with fondue and truffles, taglierini to the Langarola, the ravioli “al plin alla Piemontese”
• Among the secondcourses really tasting are the roast with the hazelnuts from the Langhe, braised meat baked with Barolo wine, duck morsels cooked with Arneis wine, pork ribs cooked in Barbaresco wine
• Among the desserts: the "bunet" (pudding with eggs), backed stuffed peaches, cream pudding (made with raw cream, an ancient family recipe. The pudding differs from the classic panna cotta, that results in being richer), the semifreddo made with hazelnuts from the Langhe.
• In season it is possible to taste the precious white truffle of Alba

The rooms of the restaurant are spacious and bright , valuable in the characteristic architecture of the time and embellished with paintings and frescoes.

Decorations and paintings welcome customers in a pleasant family environment that the experience and professionalism of the managers, Matteo with his wife Ada and children Luca and Michela, have always known how to create.

The accommodation capacity is 200 seats , with the possibility of reserving a complete floor for social events, ceremonies, business lunches and much more on request.

The restaurant also has small rooms for private parties and also large spaces for banquets, communions, confirmations, birthday parties etc ...
